Maddie & Ethan’s Harvest Moon Pond Wedding – A Summer Dream in September

It’s one of those dreary Wisconsin days—the kind that makes you crave sunshine, warm breezes, and the energy of a summer wedding. The kind of day that has me longing for sticky skin from dancing under the stars, signature cocktails in hand, and love filling the air.

And that’s exactly why I’m reminiscing about Maddie & Ethan’s wedding at Harvest Moon Pond on September 1st last year. While technically a fall wedding, the day felt like the peak of summer—golden sunlight, a light warm breeze, and the kind of effortless joy that makes for a perfect wedding day.

The Venue: Harvest Moon Pond

Nestled just 20 minutes north of Madison, WI, Harvest Moon Pond is a wedding venue that blends historic charm with modern convenience. It’s one of those places where every corner offers a stunning photo opportunity—from the willow trees swaying by the pond to the cozy indoor fireplace that creates the perfect ambiance.

I’ve had the pleasure of working at many venues, but what stands out about Harvest Moon Pond is how much they provide in-house. From custom-built farmhouse tables to four stunning outdoor ceremony locations, every detail is designed to create a seamless and stress-free experience for couples.

Some of my favorite features include:
Multiple ceremony options – Willow trees, a terrace, a pergola, or even an intimate setting by the outdoor fireplace.
The patio & outdoor cocktail space – Perfect for sipping drinks under string lights and dancing beneath the stars.
A fully stocked, modern bar – Because what’s a wedding without amazing drinks?
Endless photo opportunities – From the rustic sheep barn to the pond’s edge, there’s no shortage of dreamy backdrops.
A cozy loft for indoor ceremonies – The ultimate rain plan backup (because, you know, Wisconsin weather).

The team at Harvest Moon Pond knows weddings inside and out, and it was an absolute pleasure collaborating with them to bring Maddie & Ethan’s vision to life.

Maddie & Ethan – The Kind of Couple You Instantly Love

Some couples just have that magic—the kind of love that radiates through every moment of their day. That’s Maddie & Ethan.

Maddie is one of those brides you instantly connect with—funny, warm, and completely sure of what she wants (in the best way possible). She’s the kind of person you can’t help but root for, and working with her was an absolute joy. Ethan is just as wonderful—his warmth, kindness, and the way he looked at Maddie all day long made their wedding feel straight out of a love story.

And let’s talk about their families—because they were amazing. There was so much love and support surrounding these two, and it made the day feel even more special.

A Moment Straight Out of The Notebook

If I had to choose just one moment from Maddie & Ethan’s wedding that will forever be etched in my memory, it’s their first dance.

They were able to share this beautiful moment under the string lights on the patio, with the night sky above them and their loved ones gathered around. There was something about it that screamed The Notebook—a kind of old-school, cinematic romance that felt timeless.

I watched them from the balcony, completely mesmerized. In that moment, I couldn’t help but think about how lucky they were to have such a gorgeous space to share something so intimate, so breathtaking. It was one of those rare, magical wedding moments that felt like it belonged in a movie.

A Wedding to Remember

Looking back at Maddie & Ethan’s wedding, I can still feel the energy of that warm September evening—the laughter, the music, the twinkle of lights as guests danced late into the night. It was the kind of wedding that reminds me why I love what I do.

And on this gloomy Wisconsin day, I’m counting down the days until we get back to warm summer weddings, sweet signature drinks, hot sticky dance floors, and nights that feel like magic.

Maddie & Ethan, your wedding will always be one of my favorites. Thank you for letting me be part of your love story. 💛
