The best of 2024…
It’s hard to believe we’ve reached the end of another year! Like many others reflecting on 2024, I’m struck by how quickly time has passed. Nearly five years since the start of the pandemic, we’re on the brink of another presidential transition, and somehow, I’m heading into my fourth wedding season as a professional wedding planner. It feels absolutely surreal!
2024 was a whirlwind for Honey Event Planning & Coordination. We stayed incredibly busy, serving 85 couples and executing nearly 100 events.
This year also marked some exciting milestones for us. Our team grew to 30 talented members, and we expanded our services to include venue coordination—a venture we’re incredibly proud of.
To say I’m proud would be an understatement. To say I’m grateful doesn’t quite capture it. I feel beyond lucky to do this work, to help make dreams come true, and to be surrounded by a team of passionate, like-minded individuals. Together, we’ve worked tirelessly to give our clients what they deserve: the best days of their lives.
I asked each of our coordinators which weddings were their “standout” for the year…the one that will live rent free in their heads forever…here is what they had to say…
Tahlia’s Choice - Ally & Tyler in Madison, WI
One of our own, Tahlia—a proud UW Madison graduate—recently had the honor of coordinating a breathtaking wedding for Ally and Tyler at the historic Union Reeve Memorial. The couple was an absolute delight to work with throughout the planning process, and their big day was nothing short of spectacular.
The wedding embraced a timeless and elegant theme, featuring a sophisticated palette of cabernet, black, white, and gold accents. Being right in the heart of the UW Madison campus added a unique and vibrant energy to the celebration, making it a memorable experience for everyone in attendance.
For Tahlia, the wedding held a special significance. “It was nostalgic for me since it was my first time back at Memorial Union since graduating, so it felt extra special,” she shared. “Ally and Tyler were such an amazing couple to work with. I feel like this was my best performance of the year—I really got to showcase how I can adapt and thrive when faced with the unexpected.”
Tahlia’s connection to the venue, combined with her exceptional skills and Ally and Tyler’s vision AND a surprise visit from Bucky Badger, made this wedding a standout moment for our team. Congratulations to the happy couple, and kudos to Tahlia for making magic happen!

Stacy’s Choice - Meghan & Cody in Markesan, WI
Meghan and Cody’s wedding was unforgettable for so many reasons! Not only was it the first wedding hosted at The Little Green Lodge in Markesan, but it was also the debut solo wedding for our incredible coordinator, Stacy.
Nestled along the lakefront, Little Green Lodge is a true hidden gem, perfect for intimate celebrations. Specializing in DIY weddings, elopements, and micro-weddings, this venue offers couples the unique opportunity to celebrate their big day and stay onsite—turning their wedding into a full weekend experience!
Meghan and Cody embraced the beauty of the venue by inviting their closest friends and family for a lakeside ceremony and reception. The wedding featured stunning dried floral arrangements and a warm, earthy color palette that perfectly complemented the natural surroundings.
For Stacy, this was a particularly memorable event. “Meghan and Cody were such a joy to work with. Their decor was beautiful, and everything about their day was truly special,” she shared. And let’s not forget—Meghan and Cody included their adorable pup in the ceremony, which was a definite highlight for our team (we’re big dog lovers here!).
Congratulations to Meghan and Cody on their beautiful wedding, and hats off to Stacy for an amazing debut as a solo coordinator. Here’s to many more unforgettable moments at The Little Green Lodge!

Raquels Choice - Becca & Nolan in Oshkosh, WI
Some weddings hold a little extra meaning, and this one was no exception! Raquel had the honor of coordinating a truly special event—one of our very own Honey Family member’s weddings! Becca, one of our talented professional wedding content creators, also happened to be one of our planning clients.
Reflecting on the day, Raquel shared how much she loved working with every single vendor involved. “The collaboration was incredible—everyone worked together seamlessly, which made the entire experience even more special and fun!”
Becca and her now-husband Nolan tied the knot at Brighton Acres in Oshkosh, one of the most stunning rustic barn venues in the Fox Cities area. It was such a joy for our team to help bring their fall wedding vision to life. From the very beginning, Becca had fantastic ideas for her décor, and seeing it all come together was nothing short of magical.
(Side note: Becca designed and created all of the signage for her wedding—talk about talent!)
Congratulations to Becca and Nolan on their beautiful day, and a big thank-you to Raquel for making their dream wedding a reality. It’s moments like these that remind us why we love what we do!

Meghan’s Choice - Leah & Jake in Brillion, WI
For those who might not know, Meghan is not only trained in wedding coordination but was also our team’s very first Wedding Content Creator! At Leah and Jake’s wedding, Meghan was behind the camera capturing all the special moments, while Stacy took the lead on coordination. Despite being in different roles that day, Meghan has no hesitation in naming Leah and Jake as her standout couple of the year.
Anyone who worked with Leah and Jake would agree—they are two of the kindest and most easygoing people you could ever meet. Every meeting with them felt like chatting with friends, and their warmth left a lasting impression on all of us.
Leah and Jake exchanged vows at the breathtaking Stone Prairie in Brillion. This venue is a gem, offering multiple outdoor ceremony spaces, including a picturesque field overlooking Wisconsin’s natural beauty, a greenhouse adorned with a crystal chandelier, and a stunning outdoor fireplace that was renovated from the original farmhouse. Honey Event Planning always loves working with Stone Prairie and its sister venue, Round Lake Farms. Both locations, managed by the Ariens Company, are among our favorites!
Here’s what Meghan had to say about Leah and Jake:
“They were the sweetest couple! Just so enjoyable to work with, and the whole wedding party was equally as nice. They loved to party, which made capturing fun and cool videos and pictures so easy.”
As I went through their gallery to select photos, a few things stood out to me: their jewel-toned aesthetic was absolutely stunning, their dog Murphy stole the show as part of their day, and the love between Leah and Jake radiates through every photo. What a truly beautiful celebration—congratulations, Leah and Jake!

Tori’s Choice - Tina & Mikey in Browntown, WI
This was such a hard choice for me! There were so many standout moments this season and countless unforgettable couples, family members, venues, vendors, and decor to choose from. However, one wedding that will always hold a special place in my heart is Tina and Mikey’s celebration in Browntown.
Their wedding was truly unique and meaningful, set on family property outside of Monroe, Wisconsin. The location was breathtaking, featuring a charming cabin, access to the Pecatonica River, and the most stunning sunflower field you could imagine.
For those familiar with Monroe, you know it’s a quaint area known primarily for New Glarus Brewing, the home of the iconic Spotted Cow beer. But Tina and Mikey made it the setting for something extraordinary. Surrounded by family, they exchanged vows in a local chapel and then let me help bring their backyard wedding vision to life.
Backyard weddings have a special place in my heart, especially since my own wedding was held in my in-laws’ backyard. There’s something magical about transforming an outdoor space in Wisconsin from its agricultural roots into something absolutely magnificent. Tina and Mikey’s wedding was no exception—it was a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Some of my favorite things about Tina and Mikey’s wedding:
Tina and Mikey were an absolute dream to work with. Their positive energy and excitement made the planning process so enjoyable from start to finish.
Every single vendor was fantastic. I couldn’t have asked for a better team to collaborate with—they were all professional, talented, and so much fun to work alongside.
Ripp, the friendly pug, stole the show in his tiny tuxedo. Yes, you read that right—a pug in a tux! He wandered around the reception, charming everyone he met. 10/10 recommend adding a furry friend in formalwear to your big day!
The decor was absolutely stunning. From day one, Tina and I were completely in sync on the design vision. I felt so honored to be part of transforming this historic farm property into the most elegant celebration you could imagine.
This night was a PARTY. Tina was the ultimate vibe—a true queen on her wedding day—and the energy was unmatched.
The photos below speak louder than words—they capture the magic, the fun, and the unforgettable atmosphere of the day! Congratulations again guys!
